Combating climate change in Chad: IUCN trains teachers


The International Union for conservation of nature (IUCN) initiated from 4 to 5 April 2019 a training workshop for executives of the Chadian Ministry in charge of national education and those of the environment, waters and fisheries on education for change climate change for sustainable development.                

This training of trainers workshop is part of the implementation of the project “improving information, education and communication of rural and peri-urban populations to adaptation to climate change” that the executives of the Department in charge of national education and environmental technicians intend to build capacity.

According to IUCN, these foundations are intended to equip participants with environmental education following the process of developing the climate change education Handbook for sustainable development in Chad, which is designed for the cause.

At the end of this training, participants who are mostly teachers of high schools, colleges and primary school will be led to improve learning and teaching methods for children and youth, nature and issues related to change Climate.
