It's now official. The scientific and technical Council of the African Water Association (AAE) organizes its foundation from 1 to 05 April 2019 in Rabat, Morocco, under the theme "improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation in Africa".
On the menu of the international meeting, which will see the participation of more than 200 decision makers in the water and sanitation sector at the level of Africa and other continents, there are plans to discuss the financing, the cooperation and capacity building as levers for improving access to clean water and sanitation services in the continent, says a communiqué from the AAE.
It will also be an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the continent in terms of access to clean water and sanitation services, as well as prospects for improving access to these essential basic benefits for the sustainable development.
Created in 1980, the African Water Association, initially called the African Union of water distributors, contributes to influencing the policies of the sector in Africa and assists its members in achieving the objectives set by the community access to safe drinking water and sanitation services.
