"The dense layer of dust will be mainly observed on the north half of the country and on the Central-West localities especially in Dakar. On the Central and southern localities, the concentration of dust will be average. The visibilities will therefore be reduced on the country ", informs the communiqué of the national agency of civil aviation and meteorology (ANACIM) published Monday 11 March 2019.
It is therefore a red alert that the authorities have just launched on the pollution that is currently going on, for 3 days (until 14 March), on Senegal
The announcement of the Agency alert on the dense dust from Mauritania and southern Algeria planned on almost all Senegalese territory from Monday 11 March at 6pm to Thursday 14 March at 6pm. Dakar will be unbreathable for 72 hours. In a nutshell, ANACIM warned about the expected climate on almost all of Senegal's territory.
